Privacy Policy
CraftVista (that's us) takes your privacy seriously. We run a marketplace that brings independent makers together with people who care about design through our platform—we call that the "Services". We also keep this website running as a place where you can learn about the makers in our community and check out the work they've got available (the "Website"). This Privacy Policy walks you through how we collect, use, store and share your information across the Services, Website and everything connected to them (all together, the "Services"). Everything you do on our Services is covered by our Terms of Service, so it's worth reading through those. You'll find CraftVista's Terms of Service right here on the Website.
CONSENT
When you use the Services, you're agreeing to let us collect, use and share your Personal Information the way we describe in this Privacy Policy. You're always in control though—you can choose whether or not to share Personal Information with us. We collect two kinds of information: Personal Information and Non-Personal Information. This Privacy Policy doesn't cover stuff that's already public (like names and phone numbers in phone books) or Non-Personal Information as we define it below. "Personal Information" means anything that identifies you as a person—your name, email address, that sort of thing. We keep this so we can provide Services and stay in touch with you. "Non-Personal Information" is the anonymous stuff—your IP address and things our servers pick up automatically through your browser or cookies. We might also collect general demographic data like how many visitors we get or where they're from geographically. This Privacy Policy is really about Personal Information. We're transparent about how we use Non-Personal Information, and we mention that here.
TYPES OF INFORMATION COLLECTED
Account Registration: You'll need to set up an account with a username to use Services. That username might show up publicly to everyone on the platform. You can use community forums, set up a profile, and message other makers and users. Anything you share publicly can be seen and collected by anyone. Keep Personal Information out of public spaces—if you share someone else's information there, that's against our Terms of Service. IP Addresses: We log your IP address when you visit the Website and tie it to your account. We use this for a few things: diagnosing problems that come up with specific IP addresses, seeing where our users are located and how they're using the Services, and catching malicious activity, fraud, or when someone's trying to create multiple accounts. Third-Party Integrations: If you want to access Services through a partner platform, you'll probably need to be registered with them and give our app permission to work with their system. You have to follow their Terms of Service too. Device Identifiers: Our applications get unique identifiers from your device so your account syncs across all your devices. This doesn't mean we're collecting your name, address, or anything like that. Support Communications: We save emails and messages you send us so we can handle your requests, answer your questions, and make the Services better. User Feedback: We gather ratings and reviews from users. You need to follow the rating policies of places like Google Play or the Apple App Store when you leave feedback. Usage: We use Personal Information to keep Services running, settle disagreements, fix problems, look at how people use the platform, make our content and offerings better, spot fraud and illegal activity, send you administrative notices, and generally make your experience smoother.
DISCLOSURES & TRANSFERS
We've put safeguards in place to keep your Personal Information protected. We won't share, transfer, or sell your Personal Information to other companies without your permission, except in the situations laid out in this Privacy Policy (look at the Important Exceptions section below).
IMPORTANT EXCEPTIONS
We can share Personal Information without asking you first if we reasonably think it's necessary to identify, get in touch with, or take legal action against someone who might hurt or interfere with our rights, property, other users, or anyone else (whether on purpose or by accident). We'll also share it if the law requires us to. Nothing in this Privacy Policy stops you from raising legal defenses or objecting to requests from third parties or the government for your Personal Information. If we go through a corporate reorganization, merger, acquisition, or sell most of our assets or stock, we might share Personal Information as part of that process, including during due diligence. The company taking over would have to use your information in a way that matches this Privacy Policy. We work with subsidiaries, affiliates and third-party providers ("Third Parties") to deliver Services and keep our data hosted. We might share Personal Information with Third Parties when they're helping us deliver Services. We pick Third Parties we trust who can handle sensitive information, protect Personal Information, and follow the law.
THIRD PARTY SITES & ADVERTISERS
Our Services might have tracking, analytics and data collection tools from third parties like analytics platforms, social networks, and ad services. These companies use cookies, APIs and SDKs to collect information about your device and how you use things on our behalf. That includes device identifiers, IP addresses, where you are, how you're using the app, how long you're in it, and how you interact with ads. They do this to deliver their services, including personalized ads. Our Services might link out to third-party vendors and websites. We don't share Personal Information with those third parties and we can't control their privacy policies. Whatever you give to them is covered by their privacy policy, not ours. I'd suggest reading theirs directly. We or third-party advertisers might serve ads on our Website and Services. Third-party ad servers can drop cookies to recognize your device and figure out which ads you're seeing or clicking on. This Privacy Policy doesn't cover those cookies from ad companies. Check their privacy policies if you want details.
SECURITY
We take protecting your Personal Information seriously. We use technical, contractual, administrative, and physical safeguards to keep your information safe. We limit who can access it—only the right staff members. That said, nothing transmitted over the internet is completely secure. We do our best to protect your Personal Information, but we can't promise it'll stay secure while it's traveling to us. If something happens during transmission, that's on you. We're not responsible if someone gets around your privacy settings or our security measures. You need to protect your information too. Never tell anyone your password, real name or address. Don't use your actual name as your username. Log out and close your browser when you're done using Services.
RETENTION
We hold onto Personal Information only as long as we need it for what we're using it for, or if the law says we have to keep it. That might be longer than we're actively working with you. We might keep data to prevent fraud and abuse, and for legitimate reasons like looking at aggregated data we can't trace back to you, helping you recover your account, and making sure we're following the law. Everything we keep stays covered by this Privacy Policy.
ACCESSING AND DELETING PERSONAL INFORMATION
Right to erasure (right to be forgotten) – You can look at, update, fix, or delete Personal Information tied to your account and ask us to close your account. Open an in-app support ticket or email info@craftvista.pro to make a request. We might say no if it would break the law or make your information wrong. We might ask for information to make sure it's really you and that you have the right to access what you're asking for. The law might let us refuse to give you access to some stuff or require us to wipe out or anonymize data because of how long we need to keep it. If we can't give you access, we'll tell you why, unless the law stops us from explaining. Some examples of when we might not give access: information protected by attorney-client privilege, information that's part of an active dispute, details about other people that would expose their data, or information that costs too much to pull together. For deletion requests, we do what we reasonably can to remove Personal Information. Payment and service records stick around for legal and accounting reasons though. We might hold onto information to use or defend our rights. Even after you delete something, we can still use anonymized Non-Personal Information about what you did on the platform. Reach out to info@craftvista.pro if you have questions about using your rights.
Withdrawing Your Consent
If you gave us permission to collect, use, transfer, and/or sell your Personal Information, you might have the legal right to take that back or tell us to stop processing, transferring, and/or selling it. Get in touch at info@craftvista.pro to withdraw. Just know that pulling your consent might mean we can't give you certain products or services. We'll let you know what that means when you ask.
TRANSFERRING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION
Your Personal Information might get processed, stored, and moved to other countries where the privacy laws work differently—maybe not as strict as where you are. Governments, courts, law enforcement, or agencies in those places might be able to access your information under their laws. We make sure all our service providers, including cloud hosts, follow privacy and security standards that match this Privacy Policy and the law. Want to know more about where your data is going? Contact us. By using our Services, you're okay with us moving, storing, or working with your information this way.
OUR POLICY REGARDING CHILDREN
If you're under 13, you need a parent or guardian to say it's okay before you use Services. We don't knowingly collect information from kids under 13 without a parent saying yes. We want parents and guardians to keep an eye on how kids are using Services. If you think a child has shared Personal Information with us, or you're worried about us collecting or using a child's information, or you want us to stop and delete it, email info@craftvista.pro. We'll work on deleting the information and taking care of your concerns.
AMENDMENT OF THIS POLICY
We might change this Privacy Policy whenever we want. We'll post changes on the Website home page. Small changes (like clarifications) go into effect right away; bigger changes take effect 30 days after we post them. This Privacy Policy applies to all your Personal Information unless we say otherwise. You'll see the date we updated it at the bottom. If you keep using Services, that means you're accepting any changes we made.
